ItsPaint Privacy Policy
Effective 30 July 2026
ItsPaint collects no data. None. The app contains no network code at all, so it could not send anything anywhere even if it wanted to.
What ItsPaint collects
Nothing. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no identifiers, no usage statistics. There is no account to create and no server to talk to.
Where your work lives
Your images and .itspaint documents are ordinary files on
your Mac, saved where you choose. Preferences — such as the last tool and
colours you used — are stored locally by macOS for this app alone. Nothing
leaves your machine.
Permissions
ItsPaint runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can read or write only the files you open or save through the system's file panels, plus the recent documents you reopen. It requests no access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or anything else.
How you can verify this
ItsPaint is open source under the MIT licence. The absence of network code is checkable, not a promise: the source at github.com/joshlin2201/itspaint contains no networking APIs, and the app's entitlements request no network access.
Changes
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version added an optional online feature — the change will be described here and in the app's release notes before it ships.
